A team of skilled professionals at AIG is undertaking responsibility for handling cargo at ports and harbors on behalf of shipping companies. AIG performs all regular tasks of a shipping company at the time of vessel inward & outward sailings and during berthing at ports including bunkering, ship supply services, terminal facilities & inspection.

Port Agency services are offered at Karachi Old Port and Port Qasim, where AIG staff provides round the clock services to ships, their officers and crew. Ports and Customs documentation are professionally arranged in timely manner.

Chartering

The need of Chartering of commercial vessels has always been an important requirement in Maritime Sector. AIG is involved in engaging Tramp Operators for serving Shippers from many public sectors, Industrial & Agro Commodity Bulk Suppliers through charter party contract between parties.

The chartering is carried on both time charter and voyage charter basis for Break-bulk, Neo-bulk, Raw Materials including Urea, Rock Phosphate and Minerals as well as Heavy/ Oversized cargoes.

Consolidation & Break-bulk

Opting Consolidation is basically providing facility to customers for cost-effective movement of LCL shipments, where AIG strength is to combine small (LCL) shipments into full container loads (FCL).The service is based upon Scheduled Carriers having regular sailings to/from Pakistan. The stuffing takes place at CFS yards, where cargo is brought, stuffed into containers and then on-board vessels in a timely manner, keeping in view delivery time frame. The Port Operations Staff ensures a smooth hand over to carrier as well as Break-bulking along with the facilitation for customs. AIG House B/L is issued on port-to-port or door-to-door basis as per Seller/ Buyer requirement. Pre-carriage and On-carriage arrangements are well-coordinated through overseas Associates for prompt dispatch and distribution.
